PiktoAI Studio Launch

Brief

Piktochart is a visual communication platform that helps users create presentations, infographics, reports, and other business content. This launch video introduced PiktoAI Studio, their AI-powered tool that helps users quickly generate pitch-ready presentations. It was created for YouTube, the product landing page, and later adapted into paid advertising variations.

Tools Used

After Effects, Figma, Piktochart, PiktoAI Studio.

Audience

Primarily B2B, including business professionals, marketers, educators, and teams looking to create presentations more efficiently, while also appealing to individual creators and freelancers interested in AI-powered design tools.

Process

The project went through several iterations. My original version was about one minute and 40 seconds long and focused more on explaining the technical capabilities of the product. After feedback, we shifted toward a stronger product launch video by shortening the runtime and making it more promotional. I collaborated closely with another video editor, we built on each other's drafts, combined ideas, and produced multiple versions, with this final version being one I was heavily involved in.

Editing Decisions

The pacing is intentionally fast to showcase as many features as possible without overwhelming the viewer. We combined screen recordings, zoom-ins, UI animations, and voice-over so we could communicate both the product benefits and technical features within a short runtime.

Karma Wallet Launch Video

Brief

Karma Wallet is a US fintech app that helps users make more sustainable spending decisions. This was the official launch video for the Karma Wallet Visa debit card, with the goal of promoting both the new card and the app while driving downloads. It was created for Instagram and LinkedIn and had to stay under one minute.

Tools Used

After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Figma.

Audience

Sustainability-conscious consumers, young professionals interested in fintech, existing app users who might upgrade to the card, Potential new users discovering the brand.

Concept

The CEO wanted the brand to feel like an innovative fintech company rather than a nonprofit. I focused on showcasing the technology, app experience, and data-driven insights first, while keeping sustainability as a supporting message instead of the main focus.

One Platform, Multiple AI Tools Reel – Piktochart

Brief

The goal was to showcase PiktoAI Studio's AI features on Instagram Reels, targeting a younger, B2C audience. Rather than demonstrating a single feature, I suggested combining multiple AI tools into one realistic workflow to better reflect how users would actually create something.

Tools Used

After Effects, Figma, Piktochart, PiktoAI Studio.

Concept

I came up with the idea of transforming a basic concert poster into a polished metal event poster. I used PiktoAI Studio's image generator to create a 3D guitar, then used the image editing tools to transform it into a glass guitar and apply additional effects. The poster itself was designed by me as the example. Since the features are fairly technical, I focused on making the content feel creative and entertaining rather than instructional.

Black Friday Promo – Piktochart

Brief

The goal was to promote Piktochart's Black Friday sale, highlighting the 50% discount while clearly communicating what users would receive with each pricing tier. The campaign targeted both new and existing users across paid social, Instagram, and the landing page.

Concept

The brief focused primarily on the promotion, but I had the freedom to develop the visual direction and write the copy. I combined the discount messaging with product demonstrations so viewers could immediately understand both the offer and the value of the platform.

Process

I created multiple versions of the video for different placements, including square, vertical, and desktop formats. Since the video had to stay under 30 seconds, I kept the pacing quick, used upbeat music, and prioritized the most important information first.

Sora 2 Now Available Reel – Piktochart

Brief

The goal was to announce that Sora 2 was now available through PiktoAI Studio and quickly showcase what users could create. The video was published on Instagram and LinkedIn, targeting both B2B and B2C.

Tools Used

After Effects, Illustrator, Piktochart, PiktoAI Studio.

Concept

Unlike our previous tutorial-style videos, we skipped the step-by-step walkthrough because users were already familiar with the platform. Instead, I focused on showing impressive AI-generated video examples within the first few seconds to immediately communicate the feature's value. I created examples related to industries like e-commerce and entertainment, while another version targeted more business-focused use cases.

Process

The copy was provided by the marketing team, while the visual direction was up to me. I generated the AI video examples, then used After Effects to combine typography, motion graphics, and product UI into a fast-paced 20-second promo.

Investing with Mogo

Brief

Mogo is a Canadian fintech platform offering personal finance tools, including investing, budgeting, and cryptocurrency. This was a design exercise to create a 30-second video explaining the difference between investing with a 1% management fee versus 0% fees, targeting everyday consumers with little or no investing experience.

Process

Since the video relied on realistic financial scenarios, I used ChatGPT to help generate and verify the comparison numbers before translating them into visuals. I illustrated the graphics in Adobe Illustrator and animated everything in After Effects, focusing on clean motion and easy-to-follow storytelling.

This was a design exercise rather than a published campaign, so there are no performance metrics. I included it because it demonstrates my approach to simplifying complex financial topics through motion design.

Founder Storytelling & Thought Leadership Series

Tools Used

After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma, AI voice cleanup tools, and my own library of animated illustrations.

Brief

Karma Wallet is a US fintech company focused on helping consumers spend more sustainably. The goal of this series was to turn long-form recordings from the CEO into short, engaging videos that explained the company's mission, sustainability, investing, and personal journey. These videos were primarily published on LinkedIn, with selected versions adapted for Instagram and YouTube.

Audience

The target audience was environmentally conscious consumers, fintech users, investors, and professionals interested in sustainable finance.

Objective

The objective was to build trust and brand credibility by putting a real person behind the company. Rather than only promoting product features, these videos helped communicate the company's values and vision while encouraging viewers to learn more about Karma Wallet and ultimately download the app.

Tools Used

After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Figma, and my own library of animated illustrations.

Process

The CEO would typically record around 10 minutes of footage on his phone covering multiple topics. My first step was reviewing the recording and identifying several distinct stories that could become individual videos. I would pitch those ideas to the marketing manager and CEO, explaining what sections I'd keep, remove, or combine before beginning the edit.

Once approved, I separated the audio from the video and edited each independently. The audio required removing pauses, filler words, mistakes, and background noise. The video was colour corrected, and I layered supporting visuals throughout to reinforce the message.

On average, I produced 2–3 videos per week from these recordings.

Editing Decisions

For this example, the original recording was in a vertical phone format, but one of the intended placements was YouTube. Instead of simply enlarging the footage or adding blurred backgrounds, I redesigned the composition by placing the speaker on one side and introducing a second visual panel containing supporting footage, animations, and product demonstrations.

Results

These videos became a consistent part of Karma Wallet's content strategy across LinkedIn and other channels. Beyond promoting the app, they helped humanize the brand and gave audiences insight into the people and mission behind the product.
